An Apple A Day... Vegetarian Cookery by Doctors' Wives
Women's Auxiliary To The Alumni Association of Loma Linda University School Of Medicine
Los Angeles, 1967 (9th printing)
Loma Linda University was founded as The College of Medical Evangelists in 1909. The school lead to the building of Los Angeles Hospital (now Loma Linda University Medical Center) so students could complete their accreditation requirements. While Loma Linda educated men, it was women who undertook the fundraising for the new hospital in 1915. This cookbook, published almost 50 years later, still reflects those gender roles.
